A delicate blend of traditional Palestinian ingredients combined with distinct local flavours. Oregano and thyme provide the classic aromatic base along with toasted sesame, caraway and fennel for an earthy depth. To this we’ve added feijoa for its bright acidity and subtle astringency along with native kawakawa for its grassiness and a unique numbing tingle unlike any other za’atar.
The result is a herbal, tangy, tingly and delicious- a true fusion flavour and tradition.
Serve with olive oil & flatbread, swirl through hummus or sprinkle over roasted chicken and vegetables.
